Water/smoke travel around the main drain to the donut encircling the mouthpiece, then to the middle donut, then spent water encircles the mouth piece again and drains down the largest donut back in to the base making a recycling function. Smoke travels from the middle donut up towards the opal and excess water drains down the Klein while smoke continues up through the mouth piece.
